Please read these Terms of Service carefully before installing or using Store Shield. By installing the app on your Shopify store, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Merchant", "you", "your") and Store Shield ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Store Shield Shopify application and any associated websites or services (collectively, the "Service").
By clicking "Install", accessing, or otherwise using the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Store Shield is a Shopify application that provides the following functionality:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
To use Store Shield, you must:
Store Shield accesses your Shopify store using OAuth authorization granted through the Shopify App Store installation process. By installing the app, you grant Store Shield permission to:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account. Any whitelist rules or configuration changes made through the Store Shield interface are your responsibility. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
You may revoke Store Shield's access to your store at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. Upon uninstall, bot protection will cease immediately.
Free Plan: Store Shield offers a Free plan at no cost covering up to 1,000 monitored visitors per month, with real-time bot detection, automatic blocking, and basic traffic reports.
Starter Plan: Available at $19.99 USD per month, covering up to 10,000 monitored visitors per month. Includes all Free plan features plus IP reputation filtering, detailed bot reports, custom whitelist rules, and email support.
Pro Plan: Available at $49.99 USD per month with unlimited visitor monitoring. Includes all Starter features plus advanced bot fingerprinting, clean analytics dashboard, and 30-day block history.
Enterprise Plan: Available at $99.99 USD per month with unlimited visitor monitoring and priority 24/7 support, a dedicated account manager, custom blocking rules, unlimited block history, and SLA guarantee.
Billing: All billing is handled by Shopify through their standard app billing system. By subscribing, you authorize Shopify to charge your store's payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice.
Visitor Limits: On the Free and Starter plans, once your monthly visitor limit is reached, Store Shield will continue to operate but bot analysis may be throttled. You will be notified in-app when you are approaching your plan limit.
Cancellation: You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from within the Store Shield app or your Shopify admin. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. Your plan will revert to Free upon cancellation.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Notice will be provided via in-app notification or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You agree not to use the Store Shield service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Store Shield if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this acceptable use policy.
Important: No bot detection system is perfect. While Store Shield achieves industry-leading accuracy, there is a small possibility that legitimate visitors may be incorrectly identified as bots (false positives). We strongly recommend reviewing your whitelist settings and monitoring your dashboard regularly.
By using Store Shield, you acknowledge and agree that:
Store Shield does not guarantee the blocking of all bot traffic. Sophisticated bots that closely mimic human behavior may occasionally evade detection. We continuously update our detection models to improve coverage.
The Store Shield application, including its code, algorithms, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by Store Shield and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited license to use it as provided herein.
You retain full ownership of your store data. By using Store Shield, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your store's traffic data solely for the purpose of providing the bot blocking service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STORE SHIELD'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Store Shield and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction agreed upon between the parties.
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally before pursuing formal legal action. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
Your continued use of Store Shield after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and uninstall the app.
